1987 - 76m.

Whereas the original was an above average early 80's slasher flick this unnecessary, unwanted and certainly class-less sequel is a steaming pile of exploitation horror-comedy trash.

Crystal Bernard (of TV's Wings) stars as one of the survivors of the original slaughter who goes off to a secluded beach cottage with her Bangles-like all-girl rock group and some (gasp!) boys for the weekend only for them to start getting killed by a leather-clad rock 'n' roll supernatural killer with a guitar that sports a drill on the end.

If the plot description isn't enough to steer you away then perhaps all the lame dream sequences will (such as the "hand in sandwich" moment, the horrible "chicken attack" scene and the really lousy "zit" moment).

Throw in amateurish acting (Joel Hoffman's dumbass stoner character, TJ, annoys), some really poor dialogue and the fact the killer actually takes time out while stalking one of the girls to do a song and dance number (to the appropriately titled "Let's Buzz" song) and you have this embarrassment for all involved.

Follows slasher movie formulas to a tee, has some really poor gore (though the "chest drill" is okay), throws in a "girls gone wild" dance sequence and has one awful finale (and a killer's demise that has to be seen to be groaned at) with all the blame for this falling on writer-director Deborah Brock.

The series would go back to being a bit more serious with the next (and last, so far) entry.
